They say a picture speaks 1,000 words, well this one does!

Hanging out of the window of 47407s train on an evening XC service at Oxford in 1989, Monkey can be seen talking with Smiler. The normal in the photo had been given a taste of Monkey magic and upon vacating at Oxford promptly sought solace with the station supervisor.

Andy Bailey and the Oxford gang can be seen in the foreground, no doubt eager spectators! Monkey, who had just started employment on BR, was removed from the train by the lads and a few days later there ended his short railway career!
