Brush Bashers on Tour

Livvy, Monkey, Ash, Veg and Vining aboard a coach from Grantham to Newark on Saturday 22nd August 1987 trying to get to 47217!

The move to get to this was rancid, as we first heard about '217 being out at New Street that morning when 47646 unfortunately dropped on the 10:39 to Norwich. This was taken to Leicester, for a Tram to Nottingham for another Tram to Grantham.

As various sections of the ECML were shut said bus was taken to Newark for a Taxi to Gainsborough. The Taxi run was hair raising, overtaking, jumping lights, speeding, all in a bid to get to the 'O.'

For the record 47217 was working vice a DMU on 2J26, 13:32 Skegness-Sheffield
