You can just hear the screaming! The much missed 47444 races out of Cheltenham on Sunday 5th June 1988 as we are withered for getting off for 47406 on the 14:12 Plymouth-Manchester. When 1M85 turned up 47611 'Thames' was on the front, and this failed outside King's Norton! Again, a ballast leap was required to avoid the Ped that turned up from Saltley, a DMU to New Street saving the day!
