January Update
Following the abrupt end to the season just before Christmas when Omicron was on the rise, the mileages for both Fund locos was totted up for 2021 showing 47376 ran for 538 miles and 47105 achieved over 1000 miles of fault free running since reintroduction in July 2021! A great achievement after so long out of service. 47105 has since helped with some stock moves at the GWSR to allow for some off-season maintenance.
Elsewhere 47376 is getting some attention, both cab desks are being refurbished as they were showing the scars of 10 years in service and a bodyside door is being stripped and painted. '376 will receive a new set of batteries as the old ones were quite tired, in the run up to Christmas which required the loco to be shut down in between Santa trains at Winchcombe the loco becoming less willing to start so it's time for a new set of batts!
